DK Pembrokeshire Wool

This beautiful 100% Welsh DK Wool is available in either 100g skeins or 25g wound balls.  Natural and undyed wool from happy sheep farmed in Pembrokeshire.

yarn length in 100g skein = approx.  220m/ 238yds

recommended needles / hook size = 3.5 – 4 mm

Spun from the fleece of  Poll Dorset and Ryeland sheep farmed in Narberth, Pembrokeshire, this wool is highly regarded for its exceptional quality, purity of white colour and its density of growth.  Whilst not as soft to the touch as a breed like Bluefaced Leicester, I have found it softens once knitted and is also very durable due to its incredible density.  This wool does not pill once knitted, but is best washed by hand to maintain it’s shape and avoid felting.
