Not long now until wonderful Wonderwool Wales!

8th April 2018 by Helen Ingram

I am really excited to be exhibiting once again at Wonderwool Wales later on this month (28th and 29th April 2018).  We will be on the same stand as last year – D1 – so if you live near by, or can travel to Builth Wells in Wales, it would be lovely to see you!  I will have some new wool and new kits with me!

Hot off the Halifax Spinning Mill machines is our new DK Pembrokeshire wool with 20% added Alpaca.  It is a lovely creamy white colour with a fantastic stitch definition and is super soft when knitted and blocked.  I have also had this yarn dyed two new colours, but at the time of writing this blog, the yarn is making its way down from Yorkshire and hopefully will arrive at some point tomorrow.  I can’t tell you how excited I am to see it!  I am already planning what samples to knit with it to display at Wonderwool Wales!

I will also be bringing with me to Wonderwool Wales my new range of Fairtrade DK Cotton, perfect for Spring and Summer knitting (if we ever get warmer weather here in the UK!) and we will be launching a new beautiful cotton baby cardigan crochet kit.

Wonderwool Wales is such an amazing event with over 200 exhibitors and trade stands covering all aspects of felting, knitting, weaving, spinning & crochet along with textile art, with raw materials, equipment, books & beautiful finished products to buy.  There are demonstration and a selection of animals on display including sheep, angora rabbits, angora goats & alpacas. You can also attend workshops at the Woolschool throughout the weekend which can be booked in advance online.

If you can’t make it to Wonderwool Wales this year, our new wool and the baby cardigan kit will be available online from 28th April.  Or maybe you could catch us at Fibre East in July

Love the look of your new Pembrokeshire/alpaca wool. And the colors of the cotton are fab! Hope all goes well in Wales!
